چکیده
Odontoglossum ringspot virus (ORSV) is one of the most dangerous viruses decorative orchids. Infection caused by this can reduce phenotypic differences orchids in collections, and as a result lead to their total exhaustion. In study, possible origin Ukrainian isolate ORSV from collection O.V. Fomin Botanical Garden Taras Shevchenko National University Kyiv was investigated. The properties nucleotide sequences RNA-depended RNA-polymerase (RdRp) coat protein gene were examined. RNAs isolated leaves Cymbidium hybridum Garden’s amplified through RT-PCR sequenced. Obtained compared at level with isolates accessible within GenBank. Phylogenetic examination appeared that studied may have common root few South Korean isolates.

Complete Genome Sequence of a Papaya ringspot virus Isolate from South Korea That Infects Cucurbita pepo
The complete genome sequence of a Papaya ringspot virus (PRSV) isolate from South Korea (SK) infecting squash (Cucurbita pepo) was obtained using paired-end RNA sequencing. A BLASTn search of the PRSV SK isolate full-genome sequence showed nucleotide sequence identity ranging from 81% to 83% with previously reported PRSV isolates (GenBank accession numbers KX655874 and EF017707).
متن کاملMutation of Phe50 to Ser50 in the 126/183-kDa proteins of Odontoglossum ringspot virus abolishes virus replication but can be complemented and restored by exact reversion.
Sequence comparison of a non-biologically active full-length cDNA clone of Odontoglossum ringspot virus (ORSV) pOT1 with a biologically active ORSV cDNA clone pOT2 revealed a single nucleotide change of T-->C at position 211. This resulted in the change of Phe50 in OT2 to Ser50 in OT1. It was not the nucleotide but the amino acid change of Phe50 that was responsible for the inability of OT1 to ...
متن کاملReciprocal function of movement proteins and complementation of long-distance movement of Cymbidium mosaic virus RNA by Odontoglossum ringspot virus coat protein.
Complementation of movement and coat proteins of the orchid-infecting potexvirus Cymbidium mosaic virus (CymMV) and tobamovirus Odontoglossum ringspot virus (ORSV) was investigated. Nicotiana benthamiana, which is susceptible to both CymMV and ORSV, was used as a model system. Four transgenic lines, each harbouring one of the movement protein (MP) or coat protein (CP) genes of CymMV or ORSV, we...
متن کاملHeterologous Expression of Potato Virus Y Coat Protein, Isolate Pot187
Background: The advent of recombinant DNA technology has facilitated heterologous expression of proteins from various sources in different host systems including Escherichia coli. If a plant virus coat protein is expressed in the bacterium it can be used as the antigen for antibody preparation. Such a recombinant antigen preparation can be particularly useful where equipment such as ultracentri...
